These two windows mark Uganda’s traditional dry periods and are considered the prime time to explore our national treasures.

Why Visit During the Dry Season?

Ideal for Gorilla & Chimpanzee Trekking
The forest trails in Bwindi Impenetrable and Kibale National Parks are less muddy and more navigable. This makes for easier hikes and more rewarding encounters with our closest primate relatives.

Unmatched Wildlife Viewing
In parks like Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls, and Kidepo Valley, animals gather around remaining water sources. This increases your chances of spotting elephants, lions, buffaloes, and more in concentrated areas.
